Welcome

Welcome to Hope Family Medical Centre. We are a long established group of family doctors working in partnership to provide high quality care for patients. In 1951 Drs Stanley & Yvonne Gibson started the practice in the house at 7 Hawarden Road. In 1989 major remodelling of the premises was undertaken to provide a superb architect designed, purpose built surgery. Our surgery has good access and toilet facilities for the disabled.

Read our Practice Charter, which includes information on making suggestions or a complaint.

Surgery Hours

The surgery is open Monday to Friday 8.45 am to 6.00 pm. Between 6.00pm and 6.30pm, the surgery is open for emergency appointments only.

Information on booking appointments, requesting home visits and out-of-hours care is on our Reception Page

Note: The dispensary is closed from 1.00 - 1.30 pm

The practice provides General Medical Services within the NHS, under contract to Flintshire Local Health Board (FLHB). The FLHB is responsible for commissioning healthcare for the residents of Flintshire, including primary care services (GPs, dentists, community pharmacists, opticians - including out-of-hours GP services) and secondary care from hospitals. Occasionally we will host doctors in training - most usually at undergraduate level (medical students). We consider this to be an important part of developing the next generation of family doctors. You will always be informed if the doctor or nurse will have a doctor in training with them, and if you wish you will be able to request that your consultation proceeds without them.  We do not at this time provide training for General Practitioners.
